4 Victory Lessons from Brett Favre and his return to Green Bay for Packers Hall of Fame Induction

Brett Favre inducted to the Packers' Hall of Fame.

Fans and team officials celebrated Favre's induction to the Packers' Hall of Fame.  Former Packers president Bob Harlan described Favre as the "greatest player we've ever had," as more than 67,000 fans packed Lambeau Field to watch Favre's induction.

At 6:35 p.m., Brett Favre made his way out of the tunnel one more time! Packers' fans quickly forgot about their hard feelings towards Favre and gave him a standing-ovation.

The Super Bowl winner and 11-time Pro Bowler took a moment to reflect on his 20-year career stating, "I've always dreamed of playing pro football, no different than any other kid across the country.  All I dreamed about as a kid were Archie manning, Roger Staubach.  I never dreamed of being in the Hall of Fame, never dreamed about having my jersey retired, never dreamed of Pro Bowls," said Favre.

Here are 4 victory lessons from that we can learn from Brett Favre's legendary career:

ONE
Winner
Brett Favre has won more game than any quarterback in the NFL.  Yahoo Sports reports that Favre arrived in 1992 and the Packers have had only two losing seasons in the 23 seasons since Favre arrived.

Give up the need for immediate results and commit to a process.  Mediocrity is settling for what you have whereas winning is always expecting more.

"You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win and expect to win." -Zig Ziglar

TWO
Repetition
Brett Favre hold the NFL record for number of passes thrown, so naturally he has the most completions, yards and touchdown.  Favre also has the most sacks, fumble and interceptions.

With anything you do in life, the more time and effort you put into things, the better and more skilled you become.  Repetition helps you establish consistency and routine which are very important to achieve your goals.

"I never took a day off in my twenties. Not one." -Bill Gates

THREE
Make them believe
Southern Mississippi was the only college that showed interest in Favre after high school and they wanted him to play defensive back.  Favre showed the coaching staff his arm strength and worked his way up through the depth chart.  He led the team to a come-from-behind victory against Tulane in just the third game of his freshman year.

Do not become intimidated by rejections.  Rejection is not failure.  You fail the moment you decide to give up.  Impossible is nothing.  Rejection can motivate you to transition from ordinary to extraordinary.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." -Eleanor Roosevelt

FOUR
Be Legendary
For 19 years, Brett Favre showed up to the football field every week to win.  He inspired coaches and teammates with his exceptional toughness and thrilling fans with a daredevil's vigor and a showman's sense of the moment.  When you are able to make people react the way that Packers' fans did at Lambeau field you know that you have achieved legendary accomplishments.

Satisfaction comes at the cost of some discomfort, but it will be worth it.  You can do great things and be legendary.  Live out your purpose courageously.  Being a legend is not just considering yourself a legend and being content with your life, it is based on how the rest of the world perceives you.

"Heroes get remembered but legends never die." -Babe Ruth
