5 Reasons Stuart Scott Will Never Be Forgotten

"When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer.  You beat cancer by how you live, why you live and in the manner in which you live." Stuart Scott

ONE
Stuart Scott was diagnosed with cancer in 2011.  At the 2014 ESPYs, after being honored with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award, Scott said that he had 4 surgeries in 7 days, in the week prior to his appearance, because he was suffering from liver complications and kidney failure.

Who would have thought that he was suffering? Scott was able to maintain his cool through it all and entertained the crowd as he does best!

TWO
September 1993, Stuart Scott's first appearance on Sports Center.  In his words, he looks good!  Lay the foundation and build from there.  How can you reach your goal if you refuse to start.  One day you will be looking back laughing at yourself, similar to Scott in the following video.

THREE
An unafraid voice.  Stuart Scott seemed to say whatever came to mind and we all loved it! When he was on Sports Center, I did not care for the actual highlight, instead I looked forward to what Scott had to say about it!

FOUR
It's time to man up! Scott told it like it was! He worked hard and stayed strong throughout his battles with cancer.  If Scott can defeat cancer 3 times, how can you make any excuses about working hard through you daily battles to achieve success? Do it in honor of Stuart Scott!

FIVE
"One of the first people to call!"
"You're tough!"
Empower people.  Stuart Scott will always be remembered for giving us pep talks when we needed them the most! Whether he was poking fun at the way your favorite team lost, to remind you that it was just a game, or providing UNC women's basketball Coach Sylvia Hatchell with words of encouragement when she was diagnosed with cancer.

Thank you Stuart,
Victory.
