Here are victory lessons that we can learn from John F. Kennedy's life.

I.
John F. Kennedy donated his congressional and presidential salaries to charity.  His family was wealthy thanks to Kennedy’s father therefore he knew that others could benefit more from his salary.  Kennedy was the richest person that ever became president and he desired to make America a better place.  JFK shows us that it is better to give than to receive.  Giving things away opens us to receive more.  The more selfish we are, the less success we will enjoy.  Kennedy’s charitable spirit shows that he truly believes in his statement: “As not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”.

II.
Kennedy was the second youngest person to become United States President.  Kennedy was 43 years old when he became president.  He was the youngest person elected to the presidency yet Theodore Roosevelt was 42 when he replaced William McKinley.  McKinley was assassinated in 1901.  Kennedy teaches us that age is no barrier.  It’s a limitation you put on your mind.  He did not let his youth limit his success and enjoyed an average approval rating of about 70 percent.  Kennedy led the nation during vital parts of the Civil Rights Movement and the beginning of the Vietnam War.  Whenever you find yourself using age as an excuse, think about what JFK was able to accomplish despite being one of the youngest presidents ever.

III.
JFK did not let his health problems limit his life.  Kennedy has Addison’s disease, which affects the adrenal glands.  He also had digestive problems as well as colitis (swelling of the colon) and hypothyroidism (abnormally low activity of the thyroid gland).  Kennedy did not let his health issues control his life instead he embraced the pain and used it as motivation.  Some of Kennedy’s issues were life threatening yet he used them to make himself stronger.
